Summary
Bogashevo is the regional airport serving the city of Tomsk. It is located 20 km south of the city center. The main air route route from TOF to Moscow is serving by all major Russian airlines including Aeroflot, S7 Airlines, Pobeda and Ural Airlines. Regional flights connected TOF to some other Siberian cities by flights of S7 Airlines, NordStar, Angara Airlines, UVT Aero, Yamal Ailines etc. International traffic is restricted by seasonal charters to Asian seaside resorts. The spotting opportunities are restricted due to limited number of spots and concentrations of aircraft movements in the early morning.

History
1967: Airport opened to replace old Kashtak airport.
1977: Runway was enlarged to handle interregional flights by Tu-154 and Tu-134.
2004: Passenger terminal reconstructed.
2013: International flights started.
2019: Airport renamed after Soviet helicopter’s designer Nikolay Kamov.

Single passenger terminal at TOF is divided into domestic and international zones.

Runway usage
The single runway 03/21 has 14 m height difference. The preferential direction for landings is from the north-east (21), while take-offs are directed to south-west (03).

Spotting locations

1. Unpaved road to Plotnikovo village

A side road which leads from the Tomsk – Mezheninovka highway to Plotnikovo village has a spot which provides good view to the threshold 21. The runway is in a distance, so telephoto lens is needed. Aircrafts exhibits of the airport’s museum are also visible from there.

Departure hall of the Terminal accessible to checked passengers has big windows facing apron, but light conditions in the morning when the majority of flights are departing is not good.

3. Threshold 03

Small dirt road lead from the Tomsk – Airport highway to the south-eastern perimeter near threshold 03.

4. Airport’s Museum

Two aircrafts – Tu-154 and Yak-40 are on exhibition at the north-east part of the apron. Group or private tour to the museum can be arranged through airport’s administration.
